Aquapark, SUP and Kayaking

A Buoyancy Aid must be worn at all times by all participants to ensure anyone in difficulty remains on the surface and can be seen.
If launching your own equipment and have forgotten to bring your own, buoyancy aids can be hired for £2.50.
The lake offers a safe environment for water activities which have been risk assessed.
These are the only activities allowed.

A wetsuit is not compulsory but we recommend wearing us a wetsuit as bare skin may be susceptible to "Swimmers Itch" especially on hot summer days.
Not everyone reacts to this but is the reason we advise wearing a wetsuit. Also a water resistant sun screen can help as well as towelling off when leaving the water. Avoid shallow areas at the side of the lake.

A Rescue Boat is on the water at all times and a trained first aid qualified member of is staff available.
Staff constantly monitor customers to ensure a buoyancy aid is worn, and behaviour that could cause safety isssues is not allowed.

Parents cannot hand over the responsibilty for their children to the park. This means under 18 year olds cannot be left at the Waterpark without a parent or guardian accompanying them who is responsible for their wellbeing and safety and who can seek asistance if required. Children between 6 and 8 years must be accompanied by an adult on the water on the basis of a maximum 2 children to one 1 adult.
If you have booked more than one activity only pay a wetsuit once and use it for the second activity.
We advice participants to wear a swim suit under a wetsuit.

Wakeboarding

The wake park is all about fun and helping riders to progress  techniques, learn new tricks and improve their riding. At the same time as being fun, we are also extremely safety conscious, all of our staff are fully trained and we have a safety boat available.

There are a few basic SAFETY rules that apply to all riders, Please read the following carefully.

  • Always wear an impact vest and helmet
  • Always follow instructions from the operator
  • Users must be competent swimmers
  • Users must inform the wake park staff of any disabilities, injuries or health problems
  • Users must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • If you do not have your own equipment, we can provide you with wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, wakeboards and bindings.
  • You need to bring a pair of flipflops or shoes with you. This is so you can walk safely from the changing rooms to the start dock.
  • We advise you bring your own towel and a pair of swim trunks to wear under your wetsuit.

GENERAL RULES

  • Riding a System 2.0 can cause personal injury, use at your own risk. Only riders booked into the current session are allowed on the start dock
  • Do not distract the operator
  • Ensure the rope is not tangled around your body or any body parts before assuming the water start position
  • Riders must be of the obstacle standard requirements before they can use any obstacles (see below)
  • No climbing on the System 2.0 Towers

OBSTACLES RULES
Before you can hit the obstacles you must be able to complete the following wakeboard maneuvers whilst remaining in control of your board:

  • Hold an aggressive heelside and toeside edge
  • Negotiate corners
  • Ollie
  • Turn the board from regular to switch and back
  • Ride switch at least 100m
  • Ollie to switch

WHEN YOU FALL IN

  • Raise your hand in the air for 2 seconds to inform the operator you are okay
  • Swim to the center of the cable and hold onto the handle
  • Make sure that the rope is not tangled around your body or any body parts
  • Assume the start position ready for the water start
